On May 01, 1802, the first archery contest was held. It was won by an arrow margin.

On May 02, 1948, the first woman was sworn into the Navy. She became a Permanent Wave.

On May 03, 1869, margarine was first manufactured. It was butter than nothing.

On May 04, 1804, the first dog obedience school opened with a large barking lot.

On May 05, 1910, the first optometery courses were offered by a university. All of the students sat in glassrooms.

On May 06, 1922, the first wrought iron gate was made. It was very fency.

On May 07, 1941, the first pig was taken in by a Pawn Shop. It was a Ham Hock.

On May 08, 1895, the paper pencil was invented by Frederick Blaisdell. Most people thought it was pointless.

On May 09, 1890, the first infant stroller was made. Some babies got a little buggy.

On May 10, 1840, the straight pin was invented. Since then, many people have gotten stuck up.

On May 11, 1924, Englishman Thomas Jack invented the automated packaging machine. He was known as Jack The Wrapper.

On May 27, 1933, card playing was banned aboard Naval Vessels, and ships lost their decks.

On May 28, 1919, surgical stitches were first used. The inventor said ''Sutre Self''.

On May 29, 1925, Macintosh joined the Apple Corps.

On May 30, 1889, the first lighter than air craft departed on its maiden voyage. But, everyone thought it was a lot of balloony.

On May 31, 1901, the first barber supply company was burned, but it was just a brush fire.
