A Tribute To The Nets

''A Tribute To The Nets''

Written by Daryl Stout, N5VLZ

1) Amateur Radio Communications, getting traffic passed.
During calm and emergency, when other means don't last.
Operators gather, on different times and bands.
Making contacts, locally, and in many lands.

2) The nets have many formats, with their Net Controls.
Part 97 regulations, abiding, they extol.
Directed nets therein, to keep confusion low.
And this makes the nets, a fun place one can go.

3) Whether the nets are digital, or whether they're on phone.
RF Nets, VoIP...the theme there sets the tone.
Those with common interests, gather on these nets.
To further there the hobby bond, with all the friends they've met.

4) Nets on many topics, Amateur Radio down through Youth.
Public service communications, even nets with Bible Truth.
Hams and motorcycles, even hams who love the trains.
And lifesaving weather nets, the warning time there gained.

5) As long as your ham license, is of the proper class.
You'll be welcome on these nets, with traffic, you can pass.
No matter what the net entails, topics are never stale.
For ham radio nets succeed, when all other modes there fail.
