The Great Whore

''The Great Whore''

Based on Revelation 17:1-18

Written By Daryl Stout

1) The worst thing, that a woman, can be called there, is a whore.
Prostitured, adulteress, sinning by the score.
Ensaring unsuspecting people every day.
Indulging in the orgy of the sexual play.

2) There are mentioned some of these, in God's Holy Word.
Christ died for all, even these, though it sounds absurd.
Rahab, and the sinful woman, in the Bible space;
These became partakers of God's Amazing Grace.

3) But the one this poem speaks of, in Revelation told;
An apostate, counterfeit church...to God, she is cold.
An ecumenical congregation, fooling the worlds eyes.
In truth, it's really Satan's tool, covered in disguise.

4) Who The Great Whore actually is, subject of debate.
But for those a part of it, it's spiritually too late.
Revealed after Rapture, the unsaved left behind.
God will send strong delusion, to the spiritually blind.

5) This whore will sit upon The Beast, for a little season.
The Antichrist, Satan's man, the ultimate spiritual treason.
But, she'll one day, be destroyed...and The Beast as well;
When Christ returns to Planet Earth, His Victory there to tell.

6) You can avoid this evil thing, and its sinful crime;
By repenting of your sin, in this present time.
Accept Christ Jesus, in faith now, make Him your Lord today.
For He is The King of Kings, The Truth, The Life, The Way.

7) And, if before the Rapture, when you make that choice,
Serving Jesus every day, ready for His Voice.
When the rapture shout, and trumpet splits the sky;
You'll join the saved in Glory; there in a twinkling eye.
