2. He came to me and helped me through my life,
Despite each days great dose of pain and strife.
Though I've had many troubles from the start,
His strength and love has filled my life and heart.
3. The poems I've penned about my Friend For Life;
They help me when I'm hurting from sins knife.
He's with me every day upon this Earth;
And even at my death, I'll have new birth.
4. And when I'll meet my Lord in Heaven above,
I'll forever praise Him and His Great Love.
I've but one life, one day at a time;
I live with joy, not with sin or crime.
5. I praise him as the day of Rapture nears;
Christians will then be without sin or fear.
As that great day nears, I cannot afford
To stray from Him...Let's Praise Christ the Lord!!
