2. Everything you say, you think, and you do Is open right before His eyes.
He knows you better than you know yourself; And your actions are no surprise.
Spurning His Grace by the way that you live, It grieves Him more than you can tell.
For the answer is ZERO for the question ''What good is your pride going to do you in Hell??'' [REFRAIN]
[REFRAIN]:
It's not worth anything to you here on Earth now, And it won't be after you're dead.
Since time began, many have fallen, By their sinful desires lead.
Its effects are like poison, and before you know it, Your life has stumbled and fell.
Repent of your sin, now, friend, for ''What good is your pride going to do you in Hell??''
3. You say ''I hate church, and all that it is Because of hypocrites all around.''
But everyones life will be judged by God When that final trumpet sounds.
God wants no one to perish, but all to repent, And not your soul to sell.
For feelings in this life now, ''What good is your pride going to do you in Hell??''
4. Satan himself was cast out of Heaven When his prideful manner was shown.
Deceiving one third of the angels, He wanted to be like the Lord God on His Throne.
But the Lord, He saw through Satan's tricks, And He then pronounced the Devil's death knell.
And if you die lost without Christ, ''What good is your pride going to do you in Hell??'' [REFRAIN]
5. Jesus, God's Son, He knew the consequences The sin of pride would bear.
Born of a Virgin, He preached the Kingdom of God To any and all that would hear.
But, He was crucified between two thieves on Good Friday; And to Him, one cursed and yelled;
But the other was saved, for he knew ''What good is your pride going do to you in Hell??''
6. Jesus rose up victorious, from the grave on that Easter morn;
And by accepting these spiritual truths, we are again reborn.
With Christ totally in control of your life, The sounds of sin you can quell;
For you'll know that it's worthless; the value of ''What good is your pride going to do you in Hell??''[REFRAIN]
7. Behold, now is the time, now is the day of salvation for everyone.
Accept Jesus Christ now as Saviour and Lord, Before it's too late to be done.
For the day is soon coming when it'll be too late To escape the Devil's deadly spell;
And after that point my friend, ''What good is your pride going to do you in Hell??''
Ending: And after that point my friend, ''What good is your pride going to do you in Hell??''
