2) When Pilate asked Christ if He was the King of all the Jews;
''You have said it'', Christ replied, in words that He did choose.
The crowd screamed there for Christ's Death, the deed Pilate should do.
They shouted ''His Blood Be On Us, And On Our Children, Too''.
3) Though Pilate did acquit The Lord, four times that day, there.
Those against The Lord, their plans, they did so prepare.
Eighteen Jewish laws were broken, the crowd there would not view.
They shouted ''His Blood Be On Us, And On Our Children, Too''.
4) When Pilate asked ''Why crucify Him? What evil has He done??''.
''Blasphemy'', was loudly screamed, the crowd there was as one.
To the crowd, Christ's crucifixion, was the thing to do.
They shouted ''His Blood Be On Us, And On Our Children, Too''.
5) When Pilate told Christ, he could say, if He died or lived.
Redemption's plan required that, Christ's Life, He would give.
Suffering that Christ endured, there for me, and you.
They shouted ''His Blood Be On Us, And On Our Children, Too''.
6) So, in a basin there of water, Pilate washed his hands.
He said ''I'm innocent there, of the Blood, of this just man''.
Prophetic were the words they said, in the deed, they'd do.
They shouted ''His Blood Be On Us, And On Our Children, Too''.
7) Without shedding of the blood, of innocent substitute,
No remission there for sin, and its ill repute.
On The Cross, Christ's Visage marred; no one there, could view.
They shouted ''His Blood Be On Us, And On Our Children, Too''.
8) In scorn, they said that ''He saved others; Himself, He cannot save''.
Christ died, then on the Third Day, He rose up from the grave.
After resurrection there, five hundred souls, did view.
None shouted ''His Blood Be On Us, And On Our Children, Too''.
9) The heart of everyone is wicked, there to its black core.
The Lamb Of God, He came to die; most this deed, ignore.
Had we been there on that day, the same thing, we would do.
And shouted ''His Blood Be On Us, And On Our Children, Too''.
10) But those who repent of sin, accepting Christ as Lord.
Knowing that His Word is sharper, than a two edged sword.
In our place, He paid sins debt; what we could never do.
Admitting ''His Blood Be On Us, And On Our Children, Too''.
11) Those believing on The Lord, shall not be ashamed.
Humble and repentant, all who call on Jesus' Name.
One day, the saved will see The Lord, right there in full view.
Glad that ''His Blood Be On Us, And On Our Children, Too''.
12) In this lifetime, before death, all must make a choice.
Will you hearken your heart to, The Lord's Still, Small Voice.
Your Eternal Home on what, with Jesus Christ, you do.
Accept, Reject; ''His Blood Be On Us, And On Our Children, Too''.
