2. It has seen many things, down through its many years...
People saved...couples wed...happiness, and tears.
Ministering to everyone that through its doors came in,
Proclaimed the Gospel that Jesus died to save man from his sins.
3. There were times of persecution, echoed all around.
Some evil ones thought they'd stop it, when they burned it down.
Through wars, and integration -- crises that they were;
The church rebuilt, grew strong in Christ...its foundation ever sure.
4. As it grew and expanded from its growing pains...
They knew The Lord must build His House, or all the work was vain.
This body of believers, in Christs' Church, the saved,
Telling all that Jesus Christ rose up from the grave.
5. Many souls have come and gone, serving in this place.
The church...a building...does not save...but Gods' Amazing Grace.
The Heritage Club Members, here 50 years or more...
Felt the call of Gods' Spirit in the days of yore.
6. Not forsaking assembling of our bretheren there.
We bear each others burdens, from the world of care.
In prayer and worship, praising Christ, for He never rests...
Our Advocate to God Above...through Him, we're truly blest.
7. If you have not yet come to Christ...today, friend...is for you.
The Gospel never changes...The Way, The Life, The Truth
Is Jesus Christ, Gods' Only Son...for you, He bled and died...
And rose again to save your soul, and give you peace inside.
8. Gods' Invitation is open, the choice is up to you.
Accept Christ as your Saviour, Lord, King of Kings so true.
Be baptized today in Jesus' Name...all here will rejoice.
In Heaven, too...your decision...and your eternal choice.
9. If you've already accepted Christ, and you feel His Call
To join this body of believers in this sacred hall;
We'll welcome you with open arms, to our family...
With many ways to serve Christ here, as you can plainly see.
10. I was glad when they said to me ''To Gods' House, let's go''.
The caring and the fellowship that this church bestowed
Upon me, that I'm proud to say ''From Christ, I'll never roam...''
''And Second Baptist Church, for me, is My Second Home.''
