2) Feeling they've done so much good; their sins, therefore, outweighed.
That Heaven, therefore's owed to them; despite the choices made.
Doing what's right in their eyes, their lives are going well.
The self righteous ones on Earth, are headed straight for Hell.
3) These feel God would never send a soul into Hell Fire.
Feeling He's a God Of Love; they still do sins desires.
They won't accept the Judgment there, that His Word, does tell.

4) Like one of the Pharisees, in Israel long ago.
He boasted of the good he did; to all, his pride, did show.
Living only for themselves, as if their soul, they'd sell.

5) But, unlike the Pharisee, who glorified his name.
The publican felt worthless there, and stood in silent shame.
"Have mercy on this sinner, God", his repentant words did tell.

6) If you broke God's Law just once, you've broken every one.
Only Jesus kept the Law; God's Precious, Only Son.
In our place, he died, arose; to break Satan's spell.

7) From a nations leader there, to lowly peasant slave.
It's appointed all to die, then judgment, at the grave.
Only with shed Blood Of Christ, will sins sounds, be quelled.
The self righteous ones on Earth, are headed straight for Hell.
8) Our righteousness as filthy rags, menstrual cloths of blood.
Repulsive, dirty, as ones vomit...or as pigs in mud.
Our sin nature, like on ice, all have slipped, and fell.
The self righteous ones on Earth, are headed straight for Hell.
9) Only The Righteousness Of Christ, will get us into Heaven.
The Perfect, Sinless, Lamb Of God, free of sin and leaven.
Repent of sin, accept Christ now, before sounds of death's knell.
