The Colors Of The US Flag, Stand For So Much More

''The Colors Of The US Flag, Stand For So Much More''

Written By Daryl Stout

1) The colors of the US Flag, they stand for so much more.
More than stripes of red and white, and stars on blue, there scored.
Numbering the colonies, thirteen states to be.
Then the stars of 50 states, the land of the free.

2) The red that's on Old Glory, for strength and valor, there.
Purity and innocence, the white, it does declare.
Vigilance, perseverance, and justice, there in blue.
But, a spiritual signifigance, the colors there in view.

3) Red is for the Precious Blood, that Jesus Christ, did shed.
Crucified there for our sins, for three days, He was dead.
On Resurrection Morning, He rose up from the grave.
The price of sin, now fully paid; and all could now be saved.

4) But red also, the color of, what righteous deeds we do.
As filthy rags, or menstrual cloths, revolting there to view.
God's Standard Is Perfection, no one on Earth can pay.
For Jesus Christ God's Only Son, He is the Only Way.

5) White is for the purity of the life Christ led.
He never sinned while on the Earth, no evil word was said.
The Precious Saviour, Lamb Of God, would die there in our place.
Salvation is a free gift there, with God's Amazing Grace.

6) But white also, the color of, wintertime day snow.
Every aspect of our lives, The Lord God, does know.
All our sins, as scarlet there, are now washed away.
When we accept Christ as Our Lord, The Truth, The Life, The Way.

7) Blue is for the water there, baptism of new birth.
Dead to sin, alive in Christ, though living still on Earth.
The pureness of the blue day sky, after stormy rain.
Christ took our place on that Cross, there our salvation gained.

8) But, blue is also how the lost, feel when they die in sin.
Knowing now, that Heaven's Gates, will not let them in.
They preferred to live their lives, and give to sins desire.
They know now, that they are doomed, to The Lake Of Fire.

9) So, as the colors on the flag, of the US, wave;
The time has come, there to repent, of sin, and be saved.
Tomorrow is not promised; at death, it is too late.
Without Christ, you can't enter, Heaven's Righteous Gate.
