The Words Are So Inadequate

''The Words Are So Inadequate''

Written By Daryl Stout

1) The words are so inadequate, to express just how we feel,
When we pray our thanks to God; standing, or when we kneel.
For we can never pay Him back for what He did that day,
When Christ would die for all our sins, on that Cross that Day.

2) The words are so inadequate, to say our words of praise.
To Almighty God above, to Him, our voices raise.
The Triune God, alone are worthy; Father, Spirit, Son.
To serve Him, the least that we can do; for all that He has done.

3) The words are so inadequate, of what we want to say.
To Thank God for His Only Son, The Truth, The Life, The Way.
For what was done to save mankind, Christ didn't have to do;
His Death and Resurrection, fulfilled His Word so true.

4) The words are so inadequate, for we fall so short;
Of God's Perfect Will for us; who believed the true report?
God's Love commanded toward mankind, on that Rugged Cross;
Shed Blood there from Christ's Pierced Hands, to redeem the lost.

5) The words are so inadequate, to say ''Thank You'' to God.
For His Free Love Gift that day, as down sins path we trod.
Christ conquered death, and for all those, who accept this Gift Of Love;
Will rule and reign with Christ one day; in Earth, and Heaven above.

6) The words are so inadequate, but, God, your prayer, He'll hear;
If you'll repent of all your sin, believing without fear.
Accept by faith for His Shed Blood, paying for all sins you'd do.
And, humbly serve Him every day; and to say to God, ''Thank You''.
