Misconceptions Of Heaven; Prevalent Today

Misconceptions Of Heaven; Prevalent Today

Written By Daryl Stout

1) Misconceptions there of Heaven, prevalent today;
It's how most of mankind feels, in what they do and say.
This poem talks of these things here; of number, there are five.
What thought for all souls after death; not while they're alive.

2) Misconceptions there of Heaven, prevalent today;
The first, it's just a spiritual place, in each and every way.
But, Christ said for all His Own, ''I'll prepare a place''.
All who would repent of sin, accept His Gift of Grace.

3) Misconceptions of Heaven, prevalent today;
A real place there, with streets of gold, on that city's way.
Eye hasn't seen, ear hasn't heard, or entered in man's heart.
Things God prepared there for His Own; He loved us from the start.

4) Misconceptions there of Heaven, prevalent today;
The second, nonstop praise and worship; through all night and day.
Not just praise, but service there; the saved will not be bored.
Forever for eternity, being with The Lord.

5) Misconceptions there of Heaven, prevalent today;
Our sin nature fights with us, each and every day.
We'll serve Christ like we never could, here upon this Earth.
Redemption now full and complete, from when we had New Birth.

6) Misconceptions there of Heaven, prevalent today;
People get angelic wings, and the harps, they'll play.
Humans made a little lower, than the angels there.
Two different groups, God created; one cannot compare.

7) Misconceptions there of Heaven, prevalent today;
Angels are immortal beings; all humans die one day.
No death, for saved souls, alive there, at the trumpet sound;
Death, sin, and tears...forever gone, once we are Heaven bound.

8) Misconceptions there of Heaven, prevalent today;
Heaven owed to all at death; for good or evil way.
Only those accepting Christ, as Savior and their Lord,
Will be admitted; His Word sharper, than a two edged sword.

9) Misconceptions there of Heaven, prevalent today;
Our sin debt, it is so huge, that none can ever pay.
Christ came to Earth to live and die, so all could be saved.
Victory won on the third day; Christ rose up from the grave.

10) Misconceptions there of Heaven, prevalent today;
If you do not get it right, for your sins, you can pay.
No such thing as Purgatory, it's Heaven or it's Hell.
Will you serve The Lord of Hosts?? Or follow Satan's spell??

11) Misconceptions there of Heaven, prevalent today;
Into Heaven's Pearly Gates, Christ is the Only Way.
Only the Righteousness Of Christ, will get you in the door.
You'll regret eternally, if His Gift, you ignore.

12) Misconceptions there of Heaven, prevalent today;
If another gospel preached; they're cursed in every way.
Christ, The Way, The Truth, The Life; there for all to see.
He said ''No one there comes to God; unless they come Through Me''.

13) Misconceptions there of Heaven, prevalent today;
Tomorrow promised to no one; friend, please don't delay.
Repent of sin, make Christ your Lord, the time is now in hand.
Choose this day who you will serve, in your life and land.

14) Misconceptions there of Heaven, prevalent today;
All will bow before The Lord, there on Judgment Day.
You must choose while here on Earth, eagerly or compelled.
If nothing's done, your destiny, is the flames of Hell.

15) Misconceptions there of Heaven, prevalent today;
God's Spirit speaking to your heart; to Him, what will you say??
Will He welcome you to Heaven, from there upon His Throne??
Or cast you to eternal fire, as one He's never known??
