While Salvation's A Free Gift, It Cost Christ All He Had

Written By Daryl Stout

1) While salvation's a free gift, it cost Christ all He had.
He came to die for mankind's sins; evil there, so bad.
He who knew no sin became, sin on our behalf.
Even though far many would, spurn this gift, and laugh.

2) While salvation's a free gift, it cost Christ all He had.
The sin on Earth in Noah's day, grieved Him, made Him sad.
Only eight souls were there saved, there in Noah's Ark.
A flood of judgment on the Earth, full of sin, so dark.

3) While salvation's a free gift, it cost Christ all He had.
At the Pharisees, Christ was, righteously, there mad.
Whitewashed there on the outside, but full of dead men's bones.
They rejected Christ, whose Blood, for all sins would atone.

4) While salvation's a free gift, it cost Christ all He had.
Yet He came to die for all, adults, kids, and lads.
The only perfect, sinless life, to walk upon this Earth.
Those accepting His Free Gift, would receive New Birth.

5) While salvation's a free gift, it cost Christ all He had.
Most thought He was like most others, a prophet, passing fad.
Yet, Christ is God in The Flesh, the perfect, sinless lamb.
King of Kings, and Lord Of Lords, He is The Great I Am.

6) While salvation's a free gift, it cost Christ all He had.
Most saw Him there as a fool, an ignorant, dumb cad.
He's Creator of the universe, who there, made all things.
His shed Blood there on The Cross, would our redemption bring.

7) While salvation's a free gift, it cost Christ all He had.
He knew that The Cross would be, not some comfy pad.
Scourged, mocked, and then crucified, He died in our place.
Then rose again, to give the saved, God's Amazing Grace.

8) While salvation's a free gift, it cost Christ all He had.
The saved pray to Him, Abba, Father; for He is our Dad.
Like a loving parent would, He wants the best for us.
As vile sinners, we wonder, why God made such a fuss.

9) While salvation's a free gift, it cost Christ all He had.
He gave His Life there willingly, though all mankind was bad.
Believe on Christ, who God did send, the thing God does require.
Repent of sin, make Christ Your Lord, to avoid Hell fire.
