2) They feel that Heaven's owed to them, no matter how they live.
But, their wealth, to those who need, they don't want to give.
They feel they got their wealth, from their being smart.
For there where your treasure is, there resides your heart.
3) But, in a moment, earthly things, can all disappear.
Calamity in many ways, it's what these all fear.
They miss the bullseye spiritually, when they throw the dart.
For there where your treasure is, there resides your heart.
4) Treasures here, they can be gone, there in just a flash.
Robbery or fire there, or financial crash.
If your earthly basket there, is just in one cart.
For there where your treasure is, there resides your heart.
5) In contrast to what mankind thinks, these words from The Lord.
For His Word is sharper than any two edged sword.
To hearken to The Gospel Truth, it there, is a start.
For there where your treasure is, there resides your heart.
6) Moth and rust destroy earth's things; thieves break in and steal.
Disappointment and despair, in the loss, revealed.
But, treasure put in Heaven there, never will depart.
For there where your treasure is, there resides your heart.
7) If doing deeds for glory there, to be seen of man.
The only reward you will get, is by your own hand.
It will count for nothing there, in Heaven's Item Cart.
For there where your treasure is, there resides your heart.
8) Our righteousness as filthy rags, deeds done on our own.
All will answer for their lives, there before God's Throne.
Serving Christ and all mankind, those are what is smart.
For there where your treasure is, there resides your heart.
9) When Christians do help those in need, work behind the scenes.
Not wanting reward here on Earth; living kind, not mean.
Showing love of Jesus Christ, and His Words, impart.
For there where your treasure is, there resides your heart.
10) When The Lord reviews their lives, the righteous will there, see.
''When you served the least of these, you were serving Me''.
''Well done, good and faithful servant'', joy will fill your heart.
For there where your treasure is, there resides your heart.
11) Though rewards earned, and stars in crowns, these, we give to Christ.
For we know we're not our own, but bought with a price.
Praise To Him forevermore, from our lips, depart.
For there where your treasure is, there resides your heart.
12) Will you join us in Heaven there, the moment that you die??
You can't earn salvation there, no matter what you try.
Repent of sin, make Christ your Lord, it truly is a start.
For there where your treasure is, there resides your heart.
