Over Six Millenia, Mankind Can't Get It Right

Written By Daryl Stout

1) Throughout the course of history, seen time and again.
The world filled with all corruption, evil deeds of sin.
Because most preferred the darkness, instead of the light.
Over six millenia, mankind can't get it right.

2) Empires built, and then crashed down, after many years.
The disaster of this fall, leaders greatest fears.
Doing deeds unscrupulous, in the dark of night.
Over six millenia, mankind can't get it right.

3) The sin nature, fell on all, when Eve and Adam sinned.
Listened to the serpent's words, and they died, within.
When convicted of their wrong, they were full of fright.
Over six millenia, mankind can't get it right.

4) Before foundation of the world, redemption's plan in place.
One day, Christ would come to Earth, God's Amazing Grace.
Until then, the curse of sin, as a poisoned blight.
Over six millenia, mankind can't get it right.

5) The first born would kill his brother in a jealous rage.
Sin was spreading far and wide, across the world's stage.
It seemed no one would be free, from this evil plight.
Over six millenia, mankind can't get it right.

6) It finally got so bad there, with man's heart so dark.
God commanded Noah to, therein build an Ark.
It would rain upon the earth forty days and nights.
Over six millenia, mankind can't get it right.

7) Only Noah's family, and animals on board.
Would surive the worldwide flood, from the depths, there stored.
Yet, the Ark would keep all safe, it was water tight.
Over six millenia, mankind can't get it right.

8) Then upon Mount Ararat, the Ark would come to rest.
A new start, but mankind would, again fail the test.
They would turn away from God, evil in their sight.
Over six millenia, mankind can't get it right.

9) Then, Sodom and Gomorrah with, wicked, sin desire.
They would all there be destroyed, in the Divine Fire.
Against all the Laws Of God, most souls, would there, fight.
Over six millenia, mankind can't get it right.

10) For the heathen of the Earth, they rage and rebel.
Ignoring the warnings that, they're headed for Hell.
Eternal torment will be theirs, full of darkness night.
Over six millenia, mankind can't get it right.

11) In the fullness there of time, Christ would come to Earth.
To give His Life to redeem all, and provide New Birth.
Against The Lord, the leaders there, were all so up tight.
Over six millenia, mankind can't get it right.

12) When Christ was there crucified, Satan thought he'd won.
With the shedding of Christ's Blood, sins evil curse, undone.
Victory over sin and death, resurrection light.
Over six millenia, mankind can't get it right.

13) Then on the day of Pentecost, The Church, the Bride Of Christ.
Jews and Gentiles not their own, but bought with a price.
Christ is Heaven's Only Way, with The Gospel Light.
Over six millenia, mankind can't get it right.

14) After Rapture Of The Church, it will be Hell on Earth.
Millions will take Satan's Mark, and refuse New Birth.
Billions murdered, martyred there; a horrific sight.
Over six millenia, mankind can't get it right.

15) Then, Christ will return to Earth; and the tribes will wail.
They'll realize that against Christ, they can not prevail.
The case there for many years, now there in plain sight.
Over six millenia, mankind can't get it right.

16) With a rod of iron there, Christ will rule and reign.
But after Millennium, once again, sin's stain.
The rebellion quashed faster, than a flash of light.
Over six millenia, mankind can't get it right.

17) History's most somber day, at The Great White Throne.
All unsaved will have their guilt, and sin, be made known.
They'll realize that it's too late, to make all things right.
Over six millenia, mankind can't get it right.

18) New Heavens and Earth are made, without sin or crime.
Sin won't be permitted to, rise a second time.
Eternal joy for the redeemed, no more dark of night.
Over six millenia, mankind can't get it right.

19) Mankind's heart is wicked there, full of sin, deceit.
Without Christ, eternally, one is in defeat.
Salvation is the only thing, that can stop sin's plight.
Over six millenia, mankind can't get it right.

20) Though your sins as scarlet, they can be white as snow.
But, if you do spurn The Lord, He will let you go.
Tomorrow promised to no one; you could die, tonight.
Over six millenia, mankind can't get it right.
