When The Temple Is Defiled

When The Temple Is Defiled

Written By Daryl Stout

1) Massive trouble for the Jews, when the Temple is defiled.
Repercussions that result, certainly aren't mild.
It has happened once before; and will soon, again.
Both done by an Antichrist, of The Man Of Sin.

2) Massive trouble for the Jews, when the Temple is defiled.
The first time that this occurred, evil did run wild.
Antiochus Epiphanes invaded Israel.
With his trek of evil deeds, things did not go well.

3) Massive trouble for the Jews, when the Temple is defiled.
He stole the Temple furnishings, the Jews had not smiled.
He killed the High Priest, sold the office, for the highest bid.
Money from it went to him; his evil deeds not hid.

4) Massive trouble for the Jews, when the Temple is defiled.
The Jews they were not deceived, nor were they, beguiled.
He banned the reading of the Scripture, punished by one's death.
Killed a pig, and spread its blood, on altar width and breadth.

5) Massive trouble for the Jews, when the Temple is defiled.
Placed a statue with his face, in there, it now defiled.
Demanding worship there as God, it triggered a revolt.
Attacked by the Macabees; this evil one, did bolt.

6) Massive trouble for the Jews, when the Temple is defiled.
They smashed the statue into powder, as it there, was piled.
A new altar there was built, from fresh uncut stones.
To cleanse the Temple for its use, to worship God, alone.

7) Massive trouble for the Jews, when the Temple is defiled.
It took eight days to dedicate, as Law had compiled.
For menorah, seven days of oil, could be found.
But, God made it last eight days, His Light all around.

8) Massive trouble for the Jews, when the Temple is defiled.
Trusting God there to provide, with faith as a child.
So, the feast of Hanukkah, commemorates this day.
When resources did run low, God did make a way.

9) Massive trouble for the Jews, when the Temple is defiled.
It will happen once again; but Jews tricked, beguiled.
Thinking after Rapture there, the rise of Antichrist.
Their Messiah has arrived; but they will pay the price.

10) Massive trouble for the Jews, when the Temple is defiled.
A peace treaty there is signed; but soon, all things go wild.
The Third Temple now rebuilt, but trouble is ahead.
The Man Of Sin, he there does fake, his rising from the dead.

11) Massive trouble for the Jews, when the Temple is defiled.
To the holy place he goes, his wicked ways, sin, guiled.
A statue built there of himself, just as long ago.
When the Jews see this event, it's time for them to go!!

12) Massive trouble for the Jews, when the Temple is defiled.
Pregnant women, and for those, nursing infant child.
Great Tribulation never seen, nor will be again.
Satan now indwells this man, incarnate, full of sin.

13) Massive trouble for the Jews, when the Temple is defiled.
While their anger toward this man, is violent, and riled.
Christ warned those in Judea, to mountains, there, to flee.
They would be protected there, and one day, Christ, they'd see.

14) Massive trouble for the Jews, when the Temple is defiled.
They realize for many years, that they were, beguiled.
They repent of unbelief, of sinful souls, and nation.
Call on Christ to save them from, full annihilation.

15) Massive trouble for the Jews, when the Temple is defiled.
When The Lord there splits the sky, sinful man goes wild.
Into The Fire, The Beast, and False Prophet, both now burn.
Christ's enemies there destroyed; they'd not, from evil, turn.

16) Massive trouble for the Jews, when the Temple is defiled.
But after this second time, it no more, is defiled.
Christ restores the ravaged Earth, Millenium of Peace.
Temple cleansed; the curse of sin, is finally released.

17) Now it's truly in the past, when the Temple is defiled.
No more wars or violence, safety for each child.
With rod of iron, Christ will rule, His Law will fill the Earth.
Those entering the Kingdom there, all will have New Birth.

18) New Heaven, Earth, Jerusalem, no temple is defiled.
The Lord, now the Temple is, pure and undefiled.
Sin won't rise a second time, all things are made new.
Eternal joy for the redeemed, is now in full view.

19) It is also personal, when the Temple is defiled.
As The Holy Spirit grieved, with one's sin and guile.
Do not quench The Spirit there; for you there, are sealed.
Unto the day of redemption, when Christ is revealed.

20) Until you repent of sin, your soul is defiled.
Come to Christ, believe on Him, with faith as a child.
Christ will be your Friend for life, or Worst Nightmare faced.
All depends on what you do, with His Free Gift Of Grace.
