2) Before I came to know The Lord, I truly wasn't saved.
To repent, believe on Christ, who died, rose from the grave.
I thought that going there to church, for Heaven, it would do.
But, I am preaching to myself, and not to just you.
3) Just going through the motions there, and I thought all was well.
But, without repentance there, I was doomed for Hell.
But, one day, The Holy Spirit, finally broke through.
As I am preaching to myself, and not to just you.
4) When I heard the singing of ''The Old Rugged Cross''.
The Holy Spirit pricked my heart, and I knew I was lost.
I realized the way I lived, before God, would not do.
For I am preaching to myself, and not to just you.
5) So one day, sincerely there, I bowed my head and prayed.
With heartfelt repentance there, in words that I did say.
I asked Christ to save my soul, and give me life anew.
So, I am preaching to myself, and not to just you.
6) Many talents He gave me, with singing, perfect pitch.
Before then, I'd be off key, my tone in a ditch.
No ear training whatsoever, that I did there, do.
Yes, I am preaching to myself, and not to just you.
7) But, the greatest talent gift, to write a poetry suite.
Eight Hundred Plus poems are now done there, and more to complete.
Some secular, but most sacred, are displayed in view.
For I am preaching to myself, and not to just you.
8) My righteousness as filthy rags, no good deed I have done.
Only through the righteousness, of Jesus Christ, God's Son.
At times, I'm convicted there, by these words so true.
As I am preaching to myself, and not to just you.
9) The true hate crime committed there, if we didn't say a word;
To warn the lost of judgment coming; in God's Words, we heard.
As God did command us there, as watchmen, to do.
So, I am preaching to myself, and not to just you.
10) Most of mankind detests the fact that God, He made The Rules.
Professing themselves to be wise; they are truly fools.
So, in rebellion, anger there; collectively, they stew.
So, I am preaching to myself, and not to just you.
11) In The Great Commission, there; Christ gave the command.
To go and preach the Gospel Truth, to all, in each land.
As someone did share with me; so I now, share with you.
And, I am preaching to myself, and not to just you.
12) Yet, God is a Gentleman, He won't force you to choose.
His Free Gift, available, for Gentiles and the Jews.
If you were the only one, He would've died for you.
For, I am preaching to myself, and not to just you.
13) Before you die, you must decide, on the Gospel Truth.
It is both for old and young, for adults and youth.
Your eternal home depends, on what, you there, do.
As, I am preaching to myself, and not to just you.
14) Hell or Heaven, at your death; there is no other place.
It all depends on what you do, with God's Amazing Grace.
Your view as ''it is a lie'', or it's ''totally True''.
