When You Stand Before The Lord

''When You Stand Before The Lord''

Based on 2 Corinthians 5:10 and Revelation 20:12

Written By Daryl Stout

1) When you stand before The Lord, on that future day.
You can't fool the King Of Kings, on your sinful ways.
For He knows your inner thoughts, words, and motives, too.
And everything you've done in life, will be for all to view.

2) When you stand before The Lord, accounting for your life.
The good times will be shown, plus the bad times and the strife.
You will be without excuse, there at the Judgment Throne.
And there may be some things there, you'll wish were never known.

3) When you stand before The Lord, a question will be asked.
Your response determined, of how you did the task.
Did you accept God's Love Gift, Christ's Death on The Cross??
Or rejected this unbounded love, where you're forever lost??

4) When you stand before The Lord, your first breath to your last.
Will be shown in detail, the present, and the past.
Were deeds done to serve The Lord, and His Kingdom there??
Or were they done selfishly, for your personal cares??

5) When you stand before The Lord, and there, before Him kneel.
Will it be with eagerness, to show the love you feel?
Or will God's word compel you there, to bow before His Throne?
To hear Him say ''Depart from Me...for you, I've never known''.

6) When you stand before The Lord, you need not be afraid.
If you've received Him as Your Lord, accepting His Blood Paid
For every sin you'd ever do, by God's Loving Grace.
You'll bow in worship, praising Him, when you see His face.

7) When you stand before The Lord, you'll tremble with all fear;
If you said ''no'' to His request, to be your Saviour dear.
Refusing Christ's Blood, for your sins, this choice now, you do hate.
For after death, God's Grace is done, and for you, it's too late.
