Absent From The Body, But Then Present With The Lord

Absent From The Body, But Then Present With The Lord

Based on 2 Corinthians 5:8

Written By Daryl Stout

1) When the end of earthly life, comes for Christian saint.
They know their sins washed away, every spot and taint.
When they placed their faith on Christ; Heaven, their reward.
Absent from the body, but then present with The Lord.

2) Yet, reunion like no other...one day, will take place.
For all who accepted Christ, received Amazing Grace.
The beauty of Heaven there; all surely will be floored.
Absent from the body, but then present with The Lord.

3) Though Earthly family, all are grieved, there with bitter tears.
As the saved souls cross death's door; Heaven's joy appears.
They join others praising Christ, there in one accord.
Absent from the body, but then present with The Lord.

4) Those who served The Lord in life, as they walked by faith.
Their faith is now sight on all, The Words That God Saith.
Cleansed there by Christ's Precious Blood, all life's sins, ignored.
Absent from the body, but then present with The Lord.

5) While rewards are gained and lost, at Bema Judgment Seat.
All the saved now with The Lord, redemption is complete.
Serving The Lord faithfully, life of sin, deplored.
Absent from the body, but then present with The Lord.

6) God wants none to die in sin; but all to repent.
The one thing God requires is ''Believe On Christ, He Sent''.
You'll regret eternally, if Gospel Truth, ignored.
You're absent from the body, but not present with The Lord.

7) Tragically for the unsaved, all who won't repent.
God will give them what they want; to Hell, they are sent.
Their life not harmonious, but with sin, discord.
Absent from the body, but not present with The Lord.

8) Hell or Heaven, only two, places at your death.
Choice for Christ, it must be made, before your last breath.
Eternal pain or joyfulness, will be your reward.
Absent from the body; Are you present with The Lord??
