The Gospel Either Opens Eyes, Or It Hardens Hearts

Written By Daryl Stout

1) The Gospel either opens eyes, or it hardens hearts.
Everyone are wicked sinners, right there from the start.
With sin nature that we got, from Adam and Eve.
They both fell for Satan's lies, with sin, were deceived.

2) The Gospel either opens eyes, or it hardens hearts.
Relationship with God above, it did fall apart.
The curse of sin on planet Earth, therein was pronounced.
To ensnare mankind to sin, Satan there, did pounce.

3) The Gospel either opens eyes, or it hardens hearts.
Following the devil's lies, it sure wasn't smart.
Deceived one third of angels there, in an evil coup.
All cast out of Heaven There, what God had to do.

4) The Gospel either opens eyes, or it hardens hearts.
The specter of wickedness, it shot off the charts.
Evil covered all the Earth, mankind's hearts, so dark.
God commanded Noah there, to there build an Ark.

5) The Gospel either opens eyes, or it hardens hearts.
Only eight survived the flood, and would have new start.
Then Sodom and Gomorrah, with its sin quagmire.
Only three survived the Wrath of God's Divine fire.

6) The Gospel either opens eyes, or it hardens hearts.
So many want to rush ahead like runaway go-cart.
''Freedom from religion'' is what they scream and plead.
They won't accept that Christ The Lord, is who they truly need.

7) The Gospel either opens eyes, or it hardens hearts.
Only Christ can shine the light, into a darkened heart.
But, God gave mankind free will, and personal choice.
To accept, or there reject, His Precious Loving Voice.

8) The Gospel either opens eyes, or it hardens hearts.
To all at The Great White Throne, Christ will say ''Depart''.
''All of you, rejecting Me, to The Lake Of Fire''.
''You would not believe on Me, the one thing I required''.

9) The Gospel either opens eyes, or it hardens hearts.
The believing remnant there, when pricked in their hearts;
By The Holy Spirit there, they repent, believe;
On Christ, then His Grace and Mercy, all these do receive.

10) The Gospel either opens eyes, or it hardens hearts.
Christ restored relationship, that sin tore apart.
If you're going through the motions, or you are, sincere;
Your motives, words, your thoughts, and deeds; to The Lord, are clear.

11) The Gospel either opens eyes, or it hardens hearts.
Christ is standing at the door, knocking on your heart.
Will you repent, accept His Gift, and let Him inside??
Or, will you choose to go your way, with your selfish pride??

12) The Gospel either opens eyes, or it hardens hearts.
It's your choice, to be with Christ; or stay far apart.
Hell or Heaven, nowhere else, after death, exists.
If you choose to reject Christ, Heaven, you'll have missed.
