The Talents God Has Given Me; None Of Them, My Own

The Talents God Has Given Me; None Of Them, My Own

Written By Daryl Stout

1) The talents God has given me; none of them, my own.
In my years of life on Earth, what He has there, shown.
I give The Lord all of the glory; these gifts, He chose to share.
Anything done on my own, nothing can compare.

2) The talents God has given me; none of them, my own.
First, with singing in a church, in a choir tone.
But one day, The Holy Spirit, spoke there to my heart.
It led to the sinner's prayer, and a brand new start.

3) The talents God has given me; none of them, my own.
In truth, I was so off pitch, dissonant in tone.
Alto's in the High School choir, had me in their wings.
By the end of freshman year, I could truly sing.

4) The talents God has given me; none of them, my own.
Joined the group of tenors there, I was not alone.
At end of grade 10, in choir, most improved student.
With fellow singer, at All-state, school would represent.

5) The talents God has given me; none of them, my own.
Sight reading and perfect pitch, talents I would hone.
No ear training whatsoever, I have ever done.
In choirs, cantatas, too.. praising God's Dear Son.

6) The talents God has given me; none of them, my own.
A poetry unit, English class, I never would have known.
While some poetry secular, tributes, family.
Most are Gospel Truth, and what Christ has done for me.

7) The talents God has given me; none of them, my own.
The total count of all these poems, many times, has grown.
Many poems with scripture verse, the message is the same.
Heaven for those who repent, and call on Jesus' Name.

8) The talents God has given me; none of them, my own.
A talent for the theater, character roles, shown.
With church cantatas, and in plays, that were done in school.
Experience learned, all things done, with the acting tool.

9) The talents God has given me; none of them, my own.
Majored in the broadcast field, it has really grown.
My radio, now amateur, as a worldwide ham.
As net control, examiner, and elmering of hams.

10) The talents God has given me; none of them, my own.
Yet one talent, tends to give, listeners, the groan.
The art of wordplay, dry humor, with the many puns.
Showing that in topics there, conversation fun.

11) The talents God has given me; none of them, my own.
If not groaning, pun humor, laughter to the bone.
When tower lights were there repaired, safety it was clear.
For the one who changed the lights, high light of his career.

12) The talents God has given me; none of them, my own.
Sysop of a BBS, and it sure has grown.
A safe web alternative; messages, files, doors.
To relax, keep one's mind sharp, things there to explore.

13) The talents God has given me; none of them, my own.
When I started square dance class, and the hugs were shown;
Nervous at the welcome there; it soon turned to fun.
Great exercise, and stress relief, when the day was done.

14) The talents God has given me; none of them, my own.
Many times, I make a goof; my imperfection, shown.
Goofing up a square dance move, or net on the air.
Just laugh it off, and then, move on; the humor, to share.

15) The talents God has given me; none of them, my own.
In Heaven, when I see The Lord, there upon His Throne.
Thanking him for all the gifts, with my voice, there raised.
Proclaim that Christ, My Friend For Life, worthy of all praise.

16) The talents God has given me; none of them, my own.
For the cost of my sin debt, Christ's Blood, did atone.
Without Him, there's nothing done; no fruit, I would bear.
All these gifts He gave to me, I feel the need to share.

17) The talents God has given me; none of them, my own.
In prayer, I can talk to Him; no need for the phone.
He's always available, and faithful in all ways.
Tragically, I've failed Him, many times each day.

18) The talents God has given me; none of them, my own.
Away from hustle of my life, quiet time, alone.
I'm thankful He's forgiven me; for every sin I've done.
License to serve, and not to sin; in praise to God's Son.

19) The talents God has given me; none of them, my own.
When convicted of my sin, The Holy Spirit, shown.
When I confess, repent of sin; fellowship restored.
No one can pluck me from the Hands, of my Savior, Lord.

20) The talents God has given me; none of them, my own.
Satan lies, he says I'm worthless, my devotion, blown.
No condemnation for the saved, for eternity.
For The Power Of The Lord, He set my soul free.

21) The talents God has given me; none of them, my own.
Heaven's joy, eternally, one day, will be shown.
Eye hasn't seen, ear hasn't heard, or entered in one's heart,
The things God prepared for those, who loved Him from the start.

22) The talents God has given me; none of them, my own.
These talents are therapy, as I am alone.
For the woman that I married in 2003,
In Heaven for many years; one day again, I'll see.

23) The talents God has given me; none of them, my own.
Though fiery darts, from Satan there, many times, has thrown.
I give credit where it's due, my ego is denied.
I couldn't do these by myself; that's just selfish pride.

24) The talents God has given me; none of them, my own.
Any praise and glory there, is to Christ, alone.
All deeds done there for the Lord, into Heaven's Banks.
The words are so inadequate, to Christ, to say ''Thanks''.

25) The talents God has given me; none of them, my own.
I thank God for all these gifts, that through the years, I've honed.
I give the Glory to The Lord, for all that I've done.
In the use of talents there, each and every one.

26) The talents God has given me; none of them, my own.
Some days, conviction of my sin, as bad as kidney stone.
Christ shed His Blood, and died for me, on that Rugged Tree.
He rose again, and purged my sins, for eternity.

27) The talents God has given me; none of them, my own.
I will answer for my life, as I stand, alone.
In Sea Of Forgetfulness, all my sins, were cast.
Not considered at the Bema; they are in the past.

28) The talents God has given me; none of them, my own.
All these gifts He gave to me, I would have never known.
Not ungrateful before Him, at the Bema Seat.
But undeserving of His Love, and mercy, so complete.

29) The talents God has given me; none of them, my own.
While rewards are gained and lost, at that Judgment Throne;
''Lord, You deserve these crowns, rewards, so much more than me''.
''Thank You, Lord, for all you've done, for a wretch like me''.

30) The talents God has given me; none of them, my own.
I can never repay Him, for the love He's shown.
So, I will praise and worship Christ, for all eternity.
Thanks for all the talents, gifts, that He gave to me.
