2) The rich man and Lazarus, life after you die.
A study in contrast there, Scriptures testify.
Each one's status in this life, there changed, markedly.
When both of these one day, would pass, into eternity.
3) The rich man and Lazarus, life after you die.
The rich man clothed in purple, linen; luxury to the sky.
Then the beggar, Lazarus, laying at his gate.
Wanting crumbs at minimum, from the rich man's plate.
4) The rich man and Lazarus, life after you die.
Lazarus with sores afflicted, the pain made him cry.
The dogs would come and lick the sores, causing him more pain.
What a difference after death, each of them, would gain.
5) The rich man and Lazarus, life after you die.
Lazarus, the beggar, died...and went to Heaven's sky.
Into Abraham's bosom, truly Paradise.
In Heaven, suffering no more; it was truly nice.
6) The rich man and Lazarus, life after you die.
The rich man was horrified; to torments, he did fly.
Lazarus, he saw far off, with Abraham, as well.
He realized that he was now, in torments of Hell.
7) The rich man and Lazarus, life after you die.
Pleading mercy, comfort there; was the rich man's cry.
''Send Lazarus to cool my tongue; I suffer in this fire''.
Abraham said ''Remember, what you had, desired''.
8) The rich man and Lazarus, life after you die.
''A great gulf exists between, you, and him, and I''.
''None can go to other side, the chasm is too great''.
The rich man then realized, mercy was too late.
9) The rich man and Lazarus, life after you die.
The rich man, he never thought; torment would apply.
For he there had five brothers, he wanted all them, warned.
So, they would not end up here, in place of forlorn.
10) The rich man and Lazarus, life after you die.
''They have Moses and the Prophets'', Abraham's reply.
''Surely they all will repent, from this place of dread''.
''If someone warns them if they will, rise there from the dead''.
11) The rich man and Lazarus, life after you die.
''Rejecting Moses and The Prophets, and that Truth, deny'';
''They will not repent, believe; should someone rise again.''
''Instead prefer to live their life, in their prideful sin''.
12) The rich man and Lazarus, life after you die.
There on Calvary's Rugged Cross, Christ, they'd crucify.
According to the Scriptures there, Christ rose in victory.
Paradise then moved to Heaven, for redeemed to see.
13) The rich man and Lazarus, life after you die.
Hell has now enlarged itself, for unsaved, when they die.
Eternal darkness, torment, pain, there in sulfur flame.
For those who would not repent, and call on Jesus' Name.
14) The rich man and Lazarus, life after you die.
Purgatory and soul sleep, both of these, a lie.
Coming back as something else; it too, is all fake.
Regretting any deals with, Satan, that you make.
15) The rich man and Lazarus, life after you die.
Hell or Heaven, it's your home, after you there, die.
It's appointed all to die, then judgment does await.
Eternal pain, or total joy; one will be your fate.
16) The rich man and Lazarus, life after you die.
After death, it is too late, to Jesus, to cry.
Before the moment of your death, friend, you there, must choose.
No matter what your background is, Gentiles or the Jews.
17) The rich man and Lazarus, life after you die.
In Heaven for eternity, the joy God will supply.
But, that's only for Christians, saved by Grace Through Faith.
Not of works, but doing what, The Lord there, has saith.
18) The rich man and Lazarus, life after you die.
In Hell and The Lake Of Fire, torment will never die.
Yet, God is a Gentleman; He'll let you go your way.
At death, it is Christ, or you; your sin debt, to pay.
