The Lord Who Keeps Israel, Does Not Slumber, Sleep

Written By Daryl Stout

1) Most think that God is not aware, of what is taking place.
That things done in secret there, hidden from His Face.
Open, secret doings there; from God, they can't keep.
The Lord, who keeps Israel, does not slumber, sleep.

2) Omniscient, Omnipotent, Omnipresent, there.
Against other deities, there's none that can compare.
Whether from the highest sky, or the ocean deep.
The Lord, who keeps Israel, does not slumber, sleep.

3) Stiff-necked rebel creatures there, description of mankind.
Wickedness deceitfully, spiritually blind.
Thinking evidence of sin, away, they can sweep.
The Lord, who keeps Israel, does not slumber, sleep.

4) Most of mankind, and the nations, God's Words, they despise.
Yet for all the evil done, God is not surprised.
Truly what mankind does sow, he shall also, reap.
The Lord, who keeps Israel, does not slumber, sleep.

5) With Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, long ago.
God there made a covenant, for the Jews to know.
For The Lord, He cannot lie; promises He'll keep.
The Lord, who keeps Israel, does not slumber, sleep.

6) Many times through history, God's People, the Jews.
Doing what God had forbade, the choice, they did choose.
Truly, they were wandering, like bunch of lost sheep.
The Lord, who keeps Israel, does not slumber, sleep.

7) When the Jews did God's Commands, their nation, He did bless.
Free from sickness, evil there; and all its huge mess.
But, then they turned their back on God; thought His Words were cheap.
The Lord, who keeps Israel, does not slumber, sleep.

8) God told them to trust Him there, with all of their life.
Many times they would rebel, in their sin and strife.
The faith of a mustard seed, they would not take that leap.
The Lord, who keeps Israel, does not slumber, sleep.

9) God is Sovereign over all, His Creation, there.
Knowledge of what goes on doesn't vanish in thin air.
Whether moving rapidly, or at a slow creep.
The Lord, who keeps Israel, does not slumber, sleep.

10) Enemies of Israel, Jews, think that they can win.
To destroy these, where they won't, be heard from again.
When The Lord does intervene, these will scream and weep.
The Lord, who keeps Israel, does not slumber, sleep.

11) Man thinks he can outsmart God, with works of his hands.
They'll see that against The Lord, none of them, can stand.
Censoring of curses there; full of sounding bleep.
The Lord, who keeps Israel, does not slumber, sleep.

12) Nations join together, in wicked plans, they make.
Deals with the Devil made, will be found as fake.
The price of iniquity; for all these, it is steep.
The Lord, who keeps Israel, does not slumber, sleep.

13) They put their deeds in secrecy, so their plans about,
Won't be known to anyone; no word will get out.
God knows full details there, more than those that seep.
The Lord, who keeps Israel, does not slumber, sleep.

14) Sinful souls can't pull the wool over The Lord's Eyes.
Most of them, are reprobate, in their wicked tries.
They can not outrun The Lord, as with fast moving jeep.
The Lord, who keeps Israel, does not slumber, sleep.

15) Warfare weapons, launched against, Jews repeatedly.
Thinking there that over time, they get the victory.
But, it's truly at the switch, all of these, do sleep.
The Lord, who keeps Israel, does not slumber, sleep.

16) Though displaced there from their land, twice in history.
The Covenant God made to them, stands for eternity.

To Petra for protection there, and security.

They see the error long ago, when Christ, they refused.
Mourn as loss of firstborn there; all these scream and weep.
The Lord, who keeps Israel, does not slumber, sleep.

24) The repentant Jews as one, cry in one accord.
''Blessed is He who there comes in, The Name Of The Lord''.

The Lord, who keeps Israel, does not slumber, sleep.

With only a Word from Christ, all of them, fall dead.

Christ rules from Jerusalem, with His Mighty Hands.
Tribulation for Jews done; no more, they shall weep.
The Lord, who keeps Israel, does not slumber, sleep.

Divine Fire destroys all, rebellion was quelled.
All unsaved at Great White Throne, from shallow and deep.
The Lord, who keeps Israel, does not slumber, sleep.

29) No guilt question, pardon, mercy, or hint of appeal.
Unsaved Jews and Gentiles there, all sins are revealed.
Pleas for mercy are too late; though they scream and weep.
The Lord, who keeps Israel, does not slumber, sleep.

30) Old Heaven, Earth, Jerusalem, in fire, destroyed.
New Heaven, Earth, Jerusalem, for all to enjoy.
