2) You'll miss Heaven, if you try to get there on your own.
Your good works, church membership, anything else shown;
No matter if they're wholesome deeds, and you think done right.
If they're not done for The Lord, they're worthless in His Sight.
3) You'll miss Heaven, if you try to get there on your own.
Ignoring the Gospel Truth, the chance, you have blown;
To try to gain eternal life, doing it your way.
The total cost of your sin debt, you can't afford to pay.
4) You'll miss Heaven, if you try to get there on your own.
Only power of The Lord, can melt a heart of Stone.
Most think preaching of The Cross, is foolishness and dumb.
Yet, Christ will not turn away, all who humbly come.
5) You'll miss Heaven, if you try to get there on your own.
Like rusty nail on chalkboard there, with its shrill pitched tone.
Dissonance and clashing noise, the sound of your sin.
Heaven, for those who repent, and are born again.
6) You'll miss Heaven, if you try to get there on your own.
You think you're the king of life, seated on its throne.
Eagerly, or there compelled; all bow before Christ.
For the saved or not their own, but bought with a price.
7) You'll miss Heaven, if you try to get there on your own.
No matter how you live your life, you'll reap what you've sown.
Heaven is not owed to you, no matter what you've heard.
Yet all unrepentant souls, think God's Truths, absurd.
8) You'll miss Heaven, if you try to get there on your own.
All who die without The Lord, will do more than moan.
Weeping, wailing, gnashing teeth, in the flames of Hell.
They preferred a life of sin, there with Satan's spell.
9) You'll miss Heaven, if you try to get there on your own.
If you think you're hurting now, with arthritic bones;
Never ending torment, pain, at moment of your death.
If you did not call on Christ, before your last breath.
10) You'll miss Heaven, if you try to get there on your own.
If you choose to spurn The Lord, when Gospel Truth, was shown;
You'll regret that foolish choice, for eternity.
Instead of joy, you will have, full pain, misery.
11) You'll miss Heaven, if you try to get there on your own.
Either at the Bema Seat, or The Great White Throne.
All will stand before The Lord, their life, now on trial.
And for everything you've done, there is no denial.
12) You'll miss Heaven, if you try to get there on your own.
No one to defend you there, you will be alone.
After moment of your death, it's too late to choose;
Salvation in The Lord of Hosts, if Christ, you refused.
13) You'll miss Heaven, if you try to get there on your own.
''Depart from Me, into the fire; for you, I've never known''.
These horrifying words you'll hear, if you died unsaved.
You would not believe on Christ; for you, His Life, He gave.
14) You'll miss Heaven, if you try to get there on your own.
God hears contrite, repentant prayer; and not on the phone.
Upon your commitment there, He knows if you're sincere.
If going through the motions there, He sees that so clear.
15) You'll miss Heaven, if you try to get there on your own.
For all those whose hearts were pricked, when Gospel Truth was shown;
They see one's saved by grace through faith, not of works, to boast.
Their choice to accept The Lord, is one they cherish most.
16) You'll miss Heaven, if you try to get there on your own.
Those accepting God's Love Gift, hear in His vocal tone;
At the moment of their death, when they see God's Son;
''Welcome, good and faithful servant; you have there, well done''.
17) You'll miss Heaven, if you try to get there on your own.
On the Cross, Christ shed His Blood, for sins to atone.
He who knew no sin at all, died there in our place.
And rose again victorious, God's Amazing Grace.
18) You'll miss Heaven, if you try to get there on your own.
You can't say that you weren't warned; God's Truth wasn't known.
At least one chance is given there, to hear the Gospel Truth.
Weather Jews or Gentiles there; or adults or youth.
19) You'll miss Heaven, if you try to get there on your own.
Salvation's plan, so simple there, in God's Word, there shown.
"Repent of sin, Believe on Christ", the one thing God requires.
The only thing to save your soul, from The Lake Of Fire.
20) You'll miss Heaven, if you try to get there on your own.
Your decision for the Lord, totally, your own.
Yet, God is a Gentleman; He'll let you go your way.
At your death, it's Christ, or you; your sin debt, to pay.
